Our Core Values

You deserve a better experience with your healthcare.

Why it matters:
In 2017, when working at my previous practice, I remember a day when I felt, "I am not proud of the care we deliver." It was a terrible feeling. Most everyone in the practice - staff and providers - was trying hard, but we weren't actually delivering a good experience.

When The Alpine Center opened in 2019, Sarah and I knew we had to do better. Having our clients feel like a faceless number being herded through the system was no longer acceptable. We've spent a lot of time and effort experimenting, adjusting, and changing our culture and processes to accomplish this.

I wanted to share with you our 4 guiding values, which grew out of this process. We talk about these often as a team, and every person hired at The Alpine Center agrees to uphold these. I thought you might find them interesting, and I'd be curious to hear how you think we're doing.

The Alpine Center Values

  1. We see you
Every person should be seen, heard, understood, and valued.
  2. We help progress
Our goal is to help each person make the progress they need in their health or life.
  3. We grow
We support a desire for each of our staff to gain skill, learn, and improve
  4. We have each other’s backs
We support each other, lift others up, help when needed, and don’t leave anyone stranded

I sincerely hope the time and effort we put into your healthcare comes through as valuable for you. Let us know what you think.

Have a fantastic week,

Dr. Topher Fox

P.S. We are taking a break this week from the high-level focus on how to improve your healthspan and lifespan. We will come back to that soon. If you missed any previous emails, the content is posted weekly here

P.P.S. Below are the pictures from my exam room wall which we are exploring for this email series.
